Project Description
Vacant industrial buildings totaling 140,000 square feet of improvements located immediately adjacent to the San Antonio International Airport.
Project Background
The property, which was previously owned by a major Texas-based pesticide manufacturing company, was purchased out of bankruptcy by RESIGHT. The buildings were vacant and there were on and off-site contamination concerns.
Business Plan
RESIGHT prepared and implemented remediation plans under the Texas Voluntary Cleanup Program to address on and off-site contamination issues. RESIGHT installed a signalized intersection to improve site access and value. The northern half of the site has been remediated and sold. Remediation is in progress on property adjacent to the southern half. Once this has been completed, RESIGHT will work with the regulatory agency to have the site closed and removed from regulatory list. In conjunction with the remediation, RESIGHT is performing on-site activities to increase the value of the property including selective demolition, site grading and building improvements. Once this has been completed the property will be marketed for sale at a price commensurate with clean property.
