RESIGHT, in partnership with the City of Alcoa and Arconic Inc., for redevelopment of the former Alcoa Inc., West Plant Site are pleased to announce that the City of Alcoa has hired Kiser + Vogrin Design and Volkert, Inc. to create a comprehensive plan for the site in Alcoa, TN.
Mikk Anderson, President, Airport Center Development Partners, attended the kick off meeting for the planning process in July. “Since the project groundbreaking in April we have seen an increase in interest in building on the site from restaurants, retail and residential builders.” said Mikk Anderson, who is also Senior VP and Founding Member of RESIGHT.
The addition of Kiser Vogrin Design and Volkert Engineering brings the project one step closer to the long-awaited renovation of the planned urban development uses on the former Alcoa Inc., West Plant site.
“The City is extremely pleased to have been able to engage the planning firm of KVD along with Volkert, Inc. to develop the master plan on this project.” said Mark L. Johnson, City Manager for the City of Alcoa, “They have a demonstrated track record of producing excellent work on numerous projects similar in size and scope to the West Plant development.”

- 6000 ft. of roadway opening approximately 100 acres for immediate development
- Current project scope: road construction, utility infrastructure installation, and site grading
- Goals: build an urban development consisting of commercial and residential uses
