September 2017 (Denver, CO) – RESIGHT and Eclipse Development Group, through their entity Double A Development Partners, LLC, are pleased to announce the beginning of structure demolition on a portion of the former Winchester Repeating Arms complex in New Haven, CT.
In collaboration with the City of New Haven, the 13-acre parcel adjacent to the Science Park redevelopment in New Haven, CT is to be transformed to a residential apartment complex in this prime location near Yale University and surrounding neighborhoods.
The demolition phase was awarded to DEMCO, Inc., a demolition company headquartered in East Aurora, NY that specializes in the decommissioning & demolition of contaminated and uncontaminated systems, components and buildings.
Double A acquired the parcel from Olin Corporation in February 2017. The site was used for industrial purposes for more than 100 years as part of the former Winchester arms manufacturing facility. The site has been vacant for more than 20 years. Following completion of demolition, Double A will manage the environmental remediation phase to address the limited environmental issues associated with historic primer production and research activities at this parcel.
